PERSONAL PHOTOS :
This section contains a mix of some old and newer photos with Family & Friends, and some things in between. Not exactly a complete history, but just an assortment of my small collection, and to reflect on personal memories. What would life be without them?
Simply Use the <<<< and >>>> links to move from page to page, or return here to browse them in the order of your choice.
All the thumbnails at the top and most of the photos on each page were created before the advent of digital cameras, and were scanned the old-fashioned way, so their resolutions are good but not hi-def as more current photos would be.
I had to Crop, Canvas, or Resize most of the images here to some extent. I edited them with the image software GIMP and had to do some layering to give the thumbnails their shapes. I used GIMP because it is free and comes with most Linux distributions, and it has loads of features, even some things that I would probably never do.
There are also other free and paid programs that can be used to edit images. It depends on what you want to do.

When I was in Japan in 1979 I purchased my first camera, an Olympus OM-2, which at the time was almost top of the line. I still have it today but never use it because it is bulky and completely made for manual usage. Most cameras had no auto functions back then, at least the ones in my price range. That OM-2 costed me 500 bucks then!
I did get familiar with photography for those few years I was traveling but then later on just stopped taking so many pictures. I have some regret not staying with it.
